Priscilla's World | Thanksgiving by the Atlantic Ocean
Thanksgiving by the Atlantic Ocean

altA glorious week writing and gazing at the ocean from our house on Hatteras Island filled my memory book. Kaze Gadway and I spent most of our time working on a book we are writing…short stories about the times in our lives when we have been confronted by the Holy/Sacred. We celebrated Thanksgiving at a yummy restaurant with a view of Pamlico Sound. Rod, son Ben and his wife Tina spent the week with us also. I managed to take off one morning for birding at Pea Island with Ben. Excitement exploded as we watched out the window while flocks of Northern Gannets (on their migrating route south) did some heavy duty fish diving. Also two pods of dolphins were close to the shore. They played for a long time for our entertainment. We don’t get to North Carolina often enough and when we do…it is painful to leave and come back to "normal" life.
